This auction is set with Variable Closing Speeds. The aircraft are set to close 1 item every 3 minutes with a 2 minute bid extensions if a bid is placed in the last 60 seconds. Smaller Items and Parts are set to close 1 item every 1 minute with 1 minute bid extensions. If a bid is placed within the last 60 seconds, the timer will be extended back to the aforementioned times. This is called a soft close. Make sure to keep an eye out on items further down the catalog as an item at the top may get extended, but this does not keep items further down from closing. We have had some aircraft extend by as much as 45 minutes with soft close extended bidding ! PLEASE DO NOT WAIT TO PLACE YOUR BID IN THE LAST SECOND. If you are trying to place a bid within the last 3 seconds chances are good that you are not going to get that bid completed before the timer runs out. The auction is going to extend back to 120 seconds regardless if you bid in the last second or the last minute. Do not risk losing a item by waiting till the last second to try to get your bid in.
